Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to many traditional music as well as old boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic shows. Following her singing lessons with mom and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. She sang in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. When she moved to the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to southern California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She is passionate about singing, music and the arts keeps active in community projects for both an artist as well as a educator. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana thanks Inland Master Chorale members for the permission to sing the traditional Latin American song.
