Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actress known for her role in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Hain Koun..! She was first known for her 1980s role in Tezaab and Tezaab, which she co-starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Koopor. She next appeared in the movie Dil in which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. In Mumbai, she was raised within a middle class family parents. When she was a young age, she started to learn dance. As a teen, she attempted acting, however most of those early films did not succeed. She eventually became one of the biggest actresses of Indian film. She decided to take a break from acting after her wedding before returning to the industry of entertainment. Recently, she played an important role on the film Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award given to civilians in India is bestowed to her. The award was also given to her for her efforts in the field of social work.
